Many people want to contribute to stroke research.
We need research to:
We want to fill the gap between young people with stroke and researchers.
People with lived experience of stroke can help research by sharing their story.
Their ideas help researchers learn what is important. This can lead to better outcomes for care and recovery.

The Young Stroke Service Deep Phenotyping Study is for young adults aged 18 to 55 who have recently had a stroke.
We want to learn how things like age, health, sleep, exercise, food, genes, and environment might affect stroke recovery.
This is a small early study to help us get ready for bigger studies later.
While the study is happening, we will check to make sure everything is working well for those taking part and that we are getting the right information.
Young Stroke Service collects information about how people recover after a stroke. Information is collected when people join the YSS and in follow-up interviews.
This information includes:
YSS Staff use this information to make health care plans. They also use it to review and improve the Young Stroke Service.
Other researchers can use this information if they get approval. YSS does not share it without permission. We remove names and personal details before we share anything.
People who use YSS give permission for YSS to collect and use their information this way.
People in the Young Stroke Service can join the Research Volunteer Registry.
If they join, we will tell them about other research projects.
